SILK MAWATA HANKIES - silk cocoons that have been stretched over a frame to about a ten inch square.

These Hankies are very high quality and can be dyed with either Fiber Reactive Dyes or Acid Dyes. In my experience you get more subtle colors with the Reactive Dyes and brighter colors with the Acid Dyes.

They can be used for spinning into yarn, felting with wool, embellishing, needle felting, embroidery or mixed media techniques.
